Proenza composite

The boys at Proenza Schouler (Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez) surprised fans by debuting their FIRST EVER jean with an exclusive collaboration with cult favorite, J Brand. Exploring an “at home” theme Proenza Schouler wanted their collection to feature urban elements, thus nothing would be more apropos than including denim! This collab features trademarks from both companies – J Brand’s fit/aesthetic with Proenza Schouler’s modern silhouette. You’ll notice a super high-rise skinny jean highlighted by denim and black graphic-print. It’s made of 11-ounce Japanese stretch denim and once printed, is hand painted all over to accentuate texture and depth.
Here at C-Society we are huge fans of both brands, so this unexpected collaboration we were really excited to see go down the runway. Unfortunately it left us feeling like we were back in the late 80’s when the tie-dye, neon-wash was all the rage. It did resurrect again last year, but we just couldn’t get on board. So, seeing this was a clear misstep in our opinion. Not so sure about the ghoulish model make-up either. A little too Marilyn Manson for us … Do you agree?

These are so unflattering! Guys, I feel you could have done better.

I can only imagine how much these will cost. If it weren’t for the brand names behind it I’m sure these would never even be a topic of interest. These are not cute.

I love these! J Brand is my favorite line.
