Wafting through the warm air will be a breeze in this open sided buggy – for BamBoo was created to be the mode of transportation for tropical resorts and vacation homes.

Features include plenty of space for friends and surfboards, a clean air, electric drive, and a paint job and color changing, mood reflecting roll bar courtesy of iconic pop artist James Rizzi. Today BamBoo is just a concept, but if you support Rinspeed, tomorrow it could be your’s.

Bionic Yarn is co-owned by N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams and the company has collaborated with Timberland to create a collection of 90 shoes and boots.Bionic Yarn creates fabrics made from 50% cotton and 38% recycled plastic bottles, so these shoes will be tree-hugger friendly. The collection is supposed to drop at the top of 2011, so keep a look out on the Bionic Yarn and Timberland sites for more information on these.

Mining company Gemfields has joined forces with the World Land Trust to create a special line of jewelry designs dubbed “Emeralds for Elephants.” The collection is meant to bring awareness to the serious issue of elephant preservation in India’s Elephant corridor. Akomplice has hooked up with Conveyor in LA for a fashion/eco collaboration that makes sense on so many levels. The fellas at Akomplice came up with an idea for this paint-related campaign after hearing the following quote from Steven Chu, the Secretary of Energy.
“Making roads and roofs a paler color could have the equivalent effect of taking every car in the world off the road for 11 years.”

To help spread awareness and explain the concept, they created the Paint Pack collaboration with Conveyor Fred Segal. The Paint Pack features a limited edition t-shirt, an Akomplice x Conveyor Fred Segal paintbrush, and a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity – all packaged inside a custom paint can. The Paint Pack is limited to 75 pieces and will be releasing at Conveyor Fred Segal on June 16th at 7pm.
